Review

Following the success of their first album "Hear No Evil", Wake Ooloo recorded this follow-up of edgy guitar-riff saturated songs with veteran producer Don Sternecker. Formed from the ashes of the Feelies, Glenn Mercer and Dave Weckerman have delved deeply into the roots of rock and roll and produced a record of inventive, yet primitive garage rock. Alternating between frantic, hook-laden psychedelia and hypnotic anthems, "What About It" teeters on the edge of collapse, both musically and lyrically. This Cd recalls the time before grunge took over kids' minds. Listen closely to this CD.
