If you've been wondering what ever happened to the Feelies, then here is your answer. Wake Ooloo's members include Glenn Mercer and Dave Weckerman from that legendary Hoboken band and this is their third record in as many years. It is not a Feelies record, but comparisons are easily made. Stop The Ride picks up where the Feelies left off. In the vein of the Velvet Underground, Wake Ooloo has a garage rock sound that is hypnotic, melodic and soothing. Wake Ooloo continues on from their Feelies roots without losing the urgency and energy that made the Feelies so distinctive and influential.
