Japanese edition of the Thrill Jockey act's 2004 album features 17 tracks including 3 exclusive bonus tracks, 'Sunny D', 'Freak Jam' & 'Go Pills'. Over the course of six albums & three EPs, Trans Am have pleased & confounded critics with their ever-changing style, from their Deutsch-influenced self-titled debut to their 80s inspired super-synth pop tunes, to raw rock. Liberation marks the first time politics have crept into their music, reflecting post-9/11 tension. 70s crunching guitars, late 80s synth-tones, & collages of sound bites culled from radio & TV give the tracks a dark tension that captures our current state of affairs.
