Review

Brand new release from the critically acclaimed acoustic folk blues duo that are often referred to as "America's Good Time Blues Ambassadors". Ball and Sultan's first release since their 2000 live recording "20th Anniversary Live" (also on No Guru) finds the boys still firmly rooted in the acoustic folk blues tradition that has kept them at the forefront of their field for over a quarter of a century. Featuring 14 tracks that include Ball and Sultan originals, tasty covers of tunes from artists such as Ralph Towner, Willy Dixon, Brownie McGhee and others. It’s good time blues for sure, so pour yourself a tall one and partake in this very special "Happy Hour" with two of the folk/blues world’s most respected players. As usual, Tom Ball plays world class blues harmonica and guitar and handles the vocals, while Kenny Sultan, also with a stellar reputation as a guitarist, is featured on various guitars.
