Review

Come On Like The Fast Lane is the NY band's third album in a row with the same line-up and concluding a comeback trilogy started in 2001 with the Blue Rose debut album Laser Beam Next Door. This album was the result of hard work and detailed preparation, the tracks have been recorded in many different studios over a long period with a lot of well-known guest musicians involved. On the other side the new CD is based on straight songwriting, the testing of the key tracks while playing live, and finally the very short, spontaneously appointed sessions at Looking Glass Studio in NYC. The rhythm tracks have been entirely recorded live as first takes, but they took some more time for tracking the vocals and arranging additional guitar parts. In the end it won't be wrong to talk about the best sounding and most dynamic Silos album ever! Blue Rose. 2006.2006 Release from the Trio of Walter Salas-humara, Drew Glackin and Konrad Meissner. Having Evolved Over 20 Years, the Silos Alt-pop Has Only Grown Stronger Through the Years and Personnel Changes, with this Incarnation Having Lasted More Than Seven Years. As Buzz Mcclain Opined in the Washington Post, the Band Creates "Powerful Earthy Pop that Sounds Like the Result of Nirvana Riding on R.e.m.'s Tour Bus". Stephen Holden of the New York Times Says "The Band's Austere Style Inflects the Astringent Twang of the Velvet Underground with the Drone of R.e.m. And Adds Countryish Echoes that Recall Gram Parsons..."
