Review

Armed with a sharp new drummer and outside producer David Bianco (Pixies, Tom Petty), the three veteran members of Glasgow, Scotland's Teenage Fanclub were determined to redeem themselves after 1993's wretched flop, Thirteen. Grand Prix, the group's fourth full album, is fresher, more direct and less cluttered than its predecessor, but it fails to match the grungy exuberance of the band's debut or the Big Star jangle of 1991's Bandwagonesque, which remains its best effort. --Jim DeRogatisTour edition of their 1997 Creation album coupled with afive track bonus CD featuring 'About You' (Acoustic),'Between Us', 'For You', 'Try And Stop Me' & 'Who Loves TheSun'. All tracks on the bonus CD are non-album cuts. Doubleslimline jewel case. 1995 Gef
