It is hard to pinpoint a high moment in career of Steve Green due to the wealth of work he's recorded in his 15-plus years as a contemporary Christian music artist. But you might as well start with his treatment of classic hymns on Hymns: A Portrait of Christ. Green enlivens "Holy, Holy, Holy" with Celtic flair and "How Great Thou Art" with a mighty horn and pipe-organ introduction. The charismatic Green, with a fine understanding of arrangements and the assistance of producer Greg Nelson, also sparkles with three medleys on this collection of church staples.
