Review

This CD includes one of Stephen's great works, Suite for Slavomir. Stephen's liner notes read:
"This music was inspired by a book entitled The Long Walk by Slavomir Rawicz which relates the story of how the author, a 26 year-old Polish cavalry lieutenant, was captured by the Soviets in 1941 and accused of spying for the Germans. After sampling enough of Soviet prison hospitatlity, he resolves to escape, and with six others does so in the middle of the Siberian winter. It's an amazing story. I played all the guitars and was joined by my friends Bill Gurley on psycho-fiddle and mandolin, and Larry Emanuel and his wonderful world of percussion."
