Review

2005 album from the busy UK electronica artist (aka Robin Rimbaud). Scanner is also a member of Colin Newman's Githead project, out 2005 also. Commissioned to celebrate the union of Roel & Ellis in marriage in De Rijp, The Netherlands, 04 June 2004. This is a very special release indeed. Last year (2004) in June, Scanner was invited by an all-time admirer from the Netherlands to perform at his wedding and if at all possible with new work! The couple had grown tired of hearing Mendelssohn's Wedding March over and over again and wanted something stimulating and innovative. Scanner agreed and composed and performed live seven great pieces of inventive electronic music in an old 15th century church just opposite the old grand organ. This release is a music concept for people in love. A Uniquely warm, romantic and positive recording, designed for both those in and dreaming of love. Steamin' Soundworks.
