Review

Samson first came to the record buying publics attention back in 1977 and in their first 15 months they played in the UK 231 gigs, recorded 2 singles and toured with Gillan. They spearheaded New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and in their early days had one Bruce Dickenson as lead singer (later to find fame as lead singer in Iron Maiden). In the early days of UK touring Iron Maiden use to open, Saxon in the middle spot and Samson headlining on 3 band bills! Sadly Paul Samson died in 2002 after a short illness and at the time of his death had nearly completed an album which will be released in the second half of 2006 on Angel Air credited to Paul Samson. Tomorrow And Yesterday has been lovingly compiled from the Samson catalogue by Rob Grain and features tracks from 1978 to 2000.Samson First Came to the Record Buying Publics Attention Back in 1977 and in their First 15 Months They Played in the UK 231 Gigs, Recorded Two Singles and Toured with Gillan.
