Review
Mini-diva Belle, who scored a No. 1 pop hit along with Peabo Bryson with 1992's Aladdin theme "A Whole New World," arrives at a new label with the very up-to-date Believe in Me. Designed to fit in with late-'98 R&B radio, the album also stays true to Belle's roots in Anita Baker-style balladry. Tasteful but not very flavorful, Believe will do for those counting the days until Baker's next opus appears. --Rickey Wright
