A triumph of improvisation on a variety of themes, a jam session of professionals recorded live. The basic quartet of Dean Lea on piano, Chris Gustafson on bass, Olu Sijuwade on tenor, and Paul Spencer on drums was joined by many guest artists that evening. Those appearing on this recording are tenor saxes Jason Gillette and Scott Van Domelen, vocalists Joey Cross and Jerry Grillo, and Tim Stemper on tubano.
