Review

It seems like almost nobody does blues straight-up anymore, and the D.C. area-based Mike Corrado Band is no exception. Their blues is mixed with rock, Latin, some hearty funk, and even a little bit of folk--check out the genre-bending "Fountains of You" on Spinning Your World Upside Down or the closing ballad "Sacrifice." But Corrado and company can get down with the best of them, as "People on the Moon" and "Single with Toys" (probably the album's best track) prove amply. To put it simply, Spinning Your World Upside Down rocks. --Genevieve WilliamsA unique blend of acoustic based, alternative rock infused with bits of funk, Latin, pop and soul.
