Review

A slight departure from some of his former stylistic fusion of punk-infused California rock in the vein of Jane's Addiction meets the Beach Boys, Michael Knott's Hearts of Care lends itself toward stripped-down acoustic sound. Like most artists, Knott seems to only get better with time, which he's had a lot of, boasting a steady career that's produced some thirty-five albums. The more organic nature of this latest project showcases his introspection even more poignantly, with ideas that are often abstractly vague, yet always thick with meaning.
