Lyle Ritz is well known for his mastery of bass and ukulele, on completely separate and highly successful recording ventures. This is the first time, however, that he has played both uke and bass together on a CD of his own. Here is a chance to fully appreciate Lyle's gift for coaxing the essence of jazz and pop standards out of a limited amount of strings. These masterful arrangements in miniature are a reflection of Lyle's experience, intelligence and, above all, taste. It's all here, the melody, the harmony, the swing, the grace. No frills indeed! A must have for Jazz and ukulele lovers alike!
