While he is best remembered as the composer of hits for others, this collection offers proof that he was equally adept at interpreting his own songs -- often times bringing more emotion to them' --All- Music Guide, which gave 'Archive' 4 & 1/2 stars out of five.All tracks are from his Reprise, Asylum & Atlantic albums. 1993 WEA International release.He is Considered One of the Greatest Songwriters and Arrangers Ever in Pop Music. His Songs have Been Covered by the Likes of Frank Sinatra, Glen Campbell, the Fifth Dimension, Art Garfunkel, Donna Summer, Willie Nelson and the List Goes On. However, his Solo Albums as an Artist in his Own Right Sadly Fade in and Out of Print. This Disc Partially Rectifies that Fact, as it is the Only Collection that Encompasses his Prolific Solo Recording Career. Guest Musicians Participating Include, Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Linda Ronstadt, Ringo Starr and Many Others Along with Former Beatle Producer George Martin, who Produced Several of the Tracks Found Here.
