Review

Recorded and mixed by famed reggae engineer Jim Fox of Lion & Fox Studios, Taking Off Tomorrow is Jah Works first crossover album. Often dubbed the international album after one of its strongest cuts, International, TOT has a worldwide appeal. While still maintaining a strong reggae feel both in song and mix, a solid half of the album explores reggae/dancehall blends with r&b and pop. Classic JW lovers rock (Shadow, Thank Her, One Loving Nite) stand alongside party tunes (International, Night Like This, More + More) and consciousness (Come Together). Also included is the infamous weed-anthem Serious Litigation, a dancehall track that is a has taken on classic folk song status. Taking Off Tomorrow is an album known to tear friends apart, that is, friends who steal each others copy.
