Review

Whether you can't fathom reggae obsession or you're a true believer, grab this album from the sublime vocalist-stylist also featured in U.K. trip-hop outfit Massive Attack's LPs. Andy sounds as though he has been blessed with a double set of pipes--tenor and baritone, making for a glorious vibrato duet. This rerelease collects a mere fraction of Andy's back-in-the-day boomshots, showcasing reggaematical wizardry applied to Stateside classics like "Fever"--Peggy who?--and "Ain't No Sunshine" as well as nuggets of original Caribbean ghetto reasoning like "See a Man's Face" and "Slacky Tidy." --Elena Oumano
