Review

The great tragedy of Garnett Silk's death lies in the fact that this man who fell victim to a freakish act of violence possessed such a pure and simple gift: the ability to create peaceful and beautiful music. Even though the artist has been taken from us, his body of work remains his legacy, and while there have been many greatest-hits compilations, 100% Silk ranks among the best.

Anyone familiar with Silk will recognize the majority of the tracks. Harder-to-find songs like the guileless "Love Me or Leave Me" and the impassioned "God Is God" rest easily next to more familiar signature songs such as "Necessity" and "Zion in a Vision."
