Review

Do you think that the only eponymous album recorded by SANDROSE is an unique masterpiece of Seventies French Progressive rock ? You're not wrong… Or are you ? Two years before, a line-up named EDEN ROSE had recorded "On The Way To Eden". What's my point, will you ask ? Easy: in both cases, the musicians were exactly the same ones ! Two noticeable differences however: the absence of a vocalist and a fundamental change of style. In the case of EDEN ROSE, we can hear a trio from Marseilles that performs an instrumental proto-Progressive rock based on the keyboards and with guitarist Jean-Pierre ALARCEN's participation. Twenty-four months later, we'll be able to hear a true vocal Progressive rock line-up, led by the same Jean-Pierre ALARCEN. All this makes a real distinction that you can pinpoint straight away ! In the present case, we are invited to hear a truly interesting music in the style of PROCOL HARUM or THE NICE. Another masterpiece uncovered for you by Musea !
