Review

Bucho's music, which has been dubbed "urban blend," is an exciting mix of solid groove sounds, accented by tasty old-school soul and funk with a pinch of spicy-hot Afro-Cuban jazz thrown in, all brought together with irresistible melodies. In 2004, they were inducted into the Sacramento Area Music Awards Hall of Fame for winning the Reader's Choice award three years in a row. Omit the Harsh, the band's second release and first on DIG Music, bridges the gap between old-school horn bands of the past and the youthful energy of contemporary urban jazz and hip-hop. Guests on the new CD include Cold Blood singer Lydia Pense.
