Alto saxophonist Brad Leali has made his way in various big bands (Count Basie Orchestra, Harry Connick Jr., Clark Terry Big Band), where his solo work has always been recognized as outstanding. Leali's drive, energy and musical finesse could best be compared to the late Cannonball Adderley; he has the same fluency, dexterity and, foremost, soulfulness. Lali's accessible compositions add personality to this album and reveal a complete and creative musician deserving much more fame than he actually enjoys.
