Review

This One's 4U is the new CD by one of the most talented trumpet players in the country. Bill McGee has performed on records by The O'Jays, Stylistics, The Sugar Hill Gang, Fred Wesley, Angie Stone (Sequence), Gamble and Huff, Pattie Labelle, Grand Master Flash. He was the leader and co-founder of the group Trussel, whose top 20 hit Love Injection is still one of the top 200 Dance Records of all time. He was music director for Evelyne Champagne King and has performed live with Ray, Goodman and Brown and Lou Rawls. He's also worked with and assisted in the careers of Klymaxx, D'angelo, and The SupaFriendz. The album This One's 4U is a great 11 song project which features classic remakes of People Make The World Go 'Round, I Believe I Can Fly, Nadia's Theme from The Young and The Restless, Over The Rainbow, and My Girl Sunday. It also includes six (6) originals that are too smooth including the Miles Davis styled San Diego Sunset and The Grover Washington Styled Funk Jazz Classic and album title - This One's 4U. If you like Smooth Jazz then this album is worth every penny.... Buy It!
