Review

Hardened By A Woman's Touch is Bill's journey from the past to present with a collection of songs straight from the soul. The debut single "I Want To Know Why" was written at a train stop in Europe and it finds Bill reflecting on his turbulent past and searching for a calm.

"Don't Take The Time" is the intro to Bill's excursion, and it reveals a brooding history of pain and silence. He moves on with "Soulless Woman", a lyrical number imparting introspection. Halfway through, the CD takes a turn with the hard-rocking "Two Screws Loose" and the southern flavoured "True Blue".

Closing with a sense of freedom and self-acceptance, Bill completes the CD with the melancholy, rock ballad, "Those Things And Me".

"Initially, some believed Hardened to be a cynical view of women", says Bill. This is not the message I tried to convey. It's more an honest look at people and the dynamics that make and break relationships. It's about maintaining your dignity while rolling with the punches life sometimes offers you".
