Review

The Spanish duo play a catchy pop-rock fusion with a touch of flamenco on their sophomore album. Their sonic signature is also buoyed by their impeccable vocal harmonies, especially on such upbeat tunes as "Celos," and "Dime que me quieres." Imagine the Gypsy Kings with less guitar and more of a light pop sound, and you have Andy & Lucas. The first single, "Quiero Ser tu Sueno," is a slow brooding ballad on trying to reach the romantic heights that come with one's first love. Like other songs here, it shines thanks to the duo's contagious and buoyant energy and their seamless vocal harmonies. The duo of Andres Morales and Lucas Gonzalez, who wrote all the tunes, delve into rap on "Mi Barrio" (on life in the neighborhood) and inject R&B and soul on "Por ella." --Ramiro Burr
