Review

The band AMSTRONG from Copenhagen herewith presents their impressive 3rd album "Lack Of You". This album was recorded and produced together with Grammy-winner Malcom Burn (Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, a.o.) in his 'Le Maison Bleu' in Kingston, New York. It presents nine inspiring and unexpected stories. Remarkably touching, somewhere between 'Alternative Rock' - as the band describes its style - and - as already put critics at the release of their 1st album in 1999 - 'Sound Pop' (Intro), 'Computer Blues' (WOM JournaO, a 'post-modern version of the Cowboy Junkies' (Audio) and 'Portishead's apocalyptic child' (Leeds Guide). True to themselves, Amstrong which is Tanja Jessen (guitar and piano), Jacob Leth (Bass), Jens Danielsen (programming, keyboard & guitar) and of course, Matie Louise Minck (Vocals, Guitar & Fender Rhodes), create a catching and fascinating world of sound.
